Just outside the Tri-Cities in the Burbank area, the Mid-Columbia River National Wildlife Refuge Complex will open its doors to visitors for its Grand Opening on Saturday. The complex is a wonderful addition to our area and will afford educational opportunities for local area school children and adults. The event will take place Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will lots of free discovery activities for the children and adults alike.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had its office and educational facilities completely rebuilt over the last year and its located in this unique location with livable habitat for animals and birds. Take Highway 182 out of Pasco towards Burbank, cross the Snake River Bridge, turn left onto Humorist Rd, left onto Lake Road and left onto Maple Street.
